Yongzheng Six-Character Mark
The spreading lobed foot rises to a curving wall with fine vertical ribs on the exterior. The ribs are further incised and recessed to imitate the lotus seed on upper part and the lower foot. The whole body is all covered with thin glaze pooling to a bluish tone. The six-character mark is finely inscribed to the interior of the footring. Lobed stem cups in a similar shape to the present lot were produced since the Yuan and Song dynasty. There were large amount of vessels produced in Qing Court to express the admiration to the anicent works.
