A wucai sleeve vase, rolwagon, painted with a continuous scene of a pair of cockerels eyeing each other amongst insects and butterflies, between branches of herbaceous peony issuing from pierced rockwork beside aster and rockwork, all beneath an iron-red moon with a magic knot, shell and lotus flowerhead on the gently flared neck, the base unglazed.
