From June 1st to 5th, 2010 Poly fifth anniversary spring auction are open in Asia Hotel in Beijing. On the 1st June, 2010, fine red wine from France auction enjoyed a success. From June 2nd, Chinese works of art auctions began to draw the curtain with a record of 630 million RMB transactions, kicking off an eye-catching start for the following three days. Evening sales during this auction event are held in three nights, On June 2nd, modern and contemporary Chinese art and part of calligraphy and paintings were on sale. On June 3rd, evening sales focusing on modern Chinese calligraphy and paintings as well as classical Chinese calligraphy and paintings are to be started. On the 4th of June, evening sale on fine Chinese ceramics and works of art is held. Evening sale on June 2nd is well received with crowded attendance, registering a turnover of 520 million RMB. Modern and contemporary Chinese art evening sale I was featured by classical and realism styles with good performance. THE DUET by Chen Yifei started from 24 million RMB for auction and finally ended up with 41 million RMB in transaction after fierce biddings, reaching 45.92 million RMB in final turnover price. Chinese paintings and calligraphy from important collectors evening sale won satisfying results. 12 SCENES AND NOTES by Wu Guanzhong is the only album works of art that has handwriting notes and finally was sold by 35.84 million RMB. During evening sale of Chinese Paintings and Callligraphy of Xinjinling and Haishang Styles, THE MAJESTIC LANDSCAPE OF CHINA by Xie Zhiliu was sold at 45.92 million RMB. THE PICTURE OF XIYUAN GATHERING by Zhang Daqian was transacted by 19.60 million RMB. LADY HOLDING THE PEACH BLOSSOMS by Fu Baoshi, SCENE OF YANGZI RIVER Song Wenzhi were also sold at good prices. All these contributed to a higher expectation on June 3rd modern evening sale. June 2nd day sales saw excellence of transactions in Contemporary Chinese Ink Paintings, Modern & Contemporary Chinese Art and Rare Books and Manuscripts. |
