    For this year¡¯s Art Beijing, Poly Auction Modern and Contemporary Arts Department is presenting two extraordinary exhibitions with the themes ¡°Classic¡± and ¡°Contemporary¡±, the topic for these two exhibitions are ¡° Classic¡±, ¡°Contemporary ¡±. The former includes important paintings from Mountain Art Foundation¡¯s collection, as well as classic works of contemporary artists such as Lin Fengmian, Liu Haisu, Jin Shangyi and Zhan Jianjun. In order to explore the history of Chinese oil paintings in the 20th century in a brand-new cultural perspective, which is a unique and special case, this exhibition is supplemented with precious documents and historical materials. The latter, with broad international vision, focuses on presenting Yayoi Kusama, Zeng Fanzhi, Zhang Xiaogang,Zhou Chunya,Xu Bing ,Liu Xiaodong,Liu Yi and other important artists¡¯ representative works. The intention of the exhibition is to have a glimpseof the variety of Asian contemporary art,through the collision and dialogues of different styles, subjects, ideas and perspectives of the art pieces.
