Poly Huayi (Shanghai) auction debut successful realised a total of RMB 837 million

Poly Huayi (Shanghai) first auction debuted in Jing' An Shangri-La, West Shanghai on December 22, 2016 realising a total of RMB 837 million. With 17 lots of artwork realised over RMB 10 million£¬ the first Poly Huayi (Shanghai) auction was a huge success.
Since the port opening in 1843, Shanghai, a city center of western economic and cultural exchange, has been a window for the spread of western culture and art in China. Poly Huayi (Shanghai) held their first auction: ¡°Dialogue: Important Eastern & Western Art Evening Sale, from Hunting in the Fall Scroll to Pablo Picasso¡± was a triumph with a total sale of RMB 590 million. The Western Master special received unprecedented attention with Pablo Picasso, Femme sous la Lampe (Jacqueline) sold at RMB 58.65 million, Claude Monet, Sainte-Adresse realised RMB 37.95 million, Paul Gauguin, Coin du Jardin and Giorgio Morandi, Natura Morta realised RMB 11.5 million. With no doubt the ¡°Western Master Special¡± was the most successful auction of western art amongst mainland China with 10 works realising a total of RMB 206 million. ¡°Chinese Painting¡± also achieved an outstanding turnover. As the opening lot, the ancient painting Yuan Dynasty Royal Autumn-Hunting which realised RMB 63.25 million. Wang Hui, Landscape realised RMB 48.3 million, which is the second highest realised artwork of Wang Hui. Ren BoNian, Various Objects realised for RMB 10.12 million. Lots from Modern calligraphy and painting Fu BaoShi, Chairman Mao¡¯s Poetry of Shaoshan which realised RMB45.42 million. Zhang DaQian, Lotus realised at twice the valued price ¨C RMB 14.95 million. During the ¡°Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Special¡± Qi Baishi lots which realised RMB 5.75 million. Ma Jin, Horse Riding Picture of Emperor Qianlong by Lang Shining (Copy) which realised RMB 4.14 million. ¡°Contemporary Ink Art¡± achieved a good result with Xu Lei, Decent of the Moon and Lou ZhenGang, Nature-32a¡¢Nature-32b¡¢Nature-32c¡¢Nature-32d realised respectively for RMB 4.48 million and 3.22 million. Chinese Modern and Counterparty Art Wu GuanZhong Special maintained an advantage at Poly Beijing, this time 2 of his lots Night and Daisy realised respectively for RMB 28.15 million and 16.10 million. Leng Jun, Centurial Landscape No.3 realised for RMB 28.17 million, Zeng FanZhi, Untitled 07-14 realised for RMB21.27 million and Chu The-Chun, Expansion realised for 11.04million.
